EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND
RESTRICTIONS: |

Each employee shall consider his or her position with the District as his or her most important job and shall accept no other employment if such employment detracts from his or her performance with the District. No employee of the District shall be permitted to use his or her position in promoting, soliciting, or selling any product, goods, or services within the boundaries of the District for personal gain. Employees shall not solicit or sell items nor conduct other business for personal gain on District property without the approval of the Superintendent or his designee. This regulation shall not be construed in such a way as to interfere with the normal business operations of the District. [See also Policies DBD (LEGAL) and (LOCAL)] Employees shall not recommend, endorse, or require the purchase of any product, material, or services in which they have a financial interest or which is sold by a company for whom they work. Neither shall professional employees recommend or require the purchase of a specific brand of student supplies if there are other brands which are equal and suitable for the purpose intended. |

TUTORING FOR PAY |
A teacher shall not tutor, for pay, students of the school to which he or she is assigned. |
|
|
CONSULTANT ROLES |
An employee invited to serve in a consultant or advisory capacity to other school districts or professional groups may be employed in such a role if approved by the Superintendent. An employee receiving compensation for his or her services may not be paid by the District for that same day. |
