Library
(en Espaņol) Our Librarian, Mrs. Weaver and her assistant, Mrs. Rollans, work hard to keep our library up and running smoothly! Here you will find important library information. Library Hours: The library is open from 8:15-2:45 each day. You may come to the library any time during the day, with your teacher's permission. Library Resources: Click to access library resources. Circulation Policy: Number of books students may check out are as follows: Kindergarten students can check out one book and keep it for one week. 1st and 2nd grade students can check out two books and keep them for two weeks. 3rd - 5th grade students can check out three books and keep them for two weeks. If you finish your books earlier, please return them. If you are not finished with your books at the end of the two weeks, you may bring them to the library to be re-checked. If you don't renew your books, an overdue notice will be given to you as a reminder. It is important to take good care of your books. Your book bag is a great place to keep your books when you are not reading them. If your borrowed books get lost or damaged, you will be responsible for paying for them. Please come and visit the library! We want to see you there! Reference Materials: The reference area of the library is available for your use throughout every school day. You can be assured that these materials will be there whenever you need them. These items are often quite costly and they do not circulate. Computers: There are several computers in our library media center. The computers may be used by students to search for the location of books in our library and to do research. You may search using our CD's or our online databases such as Britannica, World Book, or Gale Resources. You may access our library catalog from your home computer by going to http://www.neisd.net/ and clicking on "Library". |
