PALEO-INDIAN PERIOD
9200 to 7500 B.C.

The Paleo-Indian Period in south-central Texas is distinguished
by fluted projectile points and other finely flaked stone tools. Points
dated to this period include Folsom, Plainview, Golandrina, Lerma and
Angostura. The Angostrua variety like the one found at Redland Oaks continued
into the Early Archaic Period.
