Redland Students Perform for SA School for Performing Arts

Redland Oaks’ students Mikyle and Talia Christian love the performing arts. In addition to participating in school productions, they have been selected for parts in the annual production of “The Nutcracker” hosted by the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts. The students have had various roles which require a great deal of focus and dedication. Additionally, during this year’s Black History Month both of them had roles in “The Journey of the Silver Chord.” This production celebrated the power of music as a vehicle to break down divisions in our society as well as the influence African American musicians have had on music over the years. Being on stage is a powerful way for Mikyle and Talia to utilize their talent to express themselves. Even at such a young age, they have taken the opportunity to be part of the arts society and use their talent and passion to create something wonderful. We admire Mikyle and Talia and are so very proud of them!
