Redland Celebrates End of Year with Flag Lowering Ceremony

Redland Oaks students retreat the flag at end of year Flag Lowering Ceremony.

            The Redland Oaks learning community came together on the last day of school for their annual end-of-year flag lowering ceremony. The fifth grade students moving onto middle school were honored as the school leaders one last time. Additionally, the drawing for the first, second, and third place attendance prizes were awarded with much excitement. With great respect, students sang “The Star Spangled Banner” and stood silently as the flag was retreated, marking the end of another successful year for Redland Oaks Elementary. The traditional ceremony ended with all the students singing the school song. After the ceremony teachers, students, and parents commented that it was a wonderful and memorable close to the school year.
