Featured Vendors: Guidelines for Advertising

North East Independent School District is proactive in obtaining funds from sources other than taxpayer dollars. Research has shown that advertising on Internet or Intranet web pages is an avenue for vendors to reach targeted audiences. North East Independent School District offers advertising reach designed to complement your current marketing plan. Advertising opportunities are being offered to those vendors who currently conduct business with the District. A detailed contract will be offered to those interested.

Additionally, a ssigned contract for web advertising must be in place prior to publishing any advertisement. The District retains the right to approve or disapprove any proposed advertising.

Further, the following restrictions will be in place when seeking revenue enhancement. Revenue enhancement activities will not:

• Promote hostility, disorder or violence

• Attack ethnic, racial or religious groups

• Discriminate, demean, harass or ridicule any person or group of persons on the basis of gender

• Be libelous

• Inhibit the functioning of the School and/or School District

• Promote, favor or oppose the candidacy of any candidate for election, adoption of any bond/budget issues or any public question submitted at any general, county, municipal or school election

• Be lewd, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, contain sexual content or illegal material as defined by prevailing community standards throughout the District

• Promote the use of drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, firearms or certain products that create community concerns

• Promote any religious or political organization

• Use any District or school logo without prior approval
