FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT INFORMATION

NEISD accepts 4 foreign exchange students per high school per year on a
first come,
first served basis.

Foreign exchange students are accepted at NEISD high schools as follows:

  1. The foreign exchange agency representative contacts PPS to inquire whether
any openings are available at a particular high school.
  2. Once it is established an opening is available, the agency faxes or emails to PPS the
student's application, medical history with immunization record and grade transcript,
which has been translated into English.
  3. PPS logs the application and verifies the immunization record and approves the
application and faxes the approval back to the foreign exchange agency representative
with instructions that the host family is to contact PPS once the student arrives to
schedule appointment to come to PPS (210-804-7070) to complete paperwork for
        enrollment at the high school.
  4. Once host family has completed necessary paperwork at PPS, they can then enroll
        student at the high school.
