On Tuesday, Jan. 6, Churchill High School senior John Stark received the Optimist Club of San Antonio's Outstanding Youth Award.

Counselors from across San Antonio (both private and public schools) nominate seniors on their campus for the award. The Optimist club then selects the student recipients based on their personal accomplishments, achievements and potential for future success.
