Reagan High School students won top marks at Thespian State Convention. Michael Cusimano and George Garcia qualified for Nationals in the duet musical category. They also were selected to perform on main stage as the Best at Convention.

Jesse Brown qualified for Nationals in solo musical, Andre Gonzales qualified in solo acting and the team of Jennifer Tate and Anne Burton qualified in duet acting.

"I took our students to the state convention last school year to take workshops, but also to see that they should be competing because they are so talented," said Cynthia McDonald, Reagan Thespian Troupe Sponsor. "So, this school year they competed for the first time and did outstanding."

"Unfortunately, our Thespian Troupe did not have the funds to send them to nationals," said McDonald. "Hopefully, next year we will be able to do as well and go to nationals, which are held at the University of Nebraska in June."
