NEISD nominates Stone Oak teacher for Trinity Prize
|
NEISD nominated Stone Oak Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Sue Kuentz for the 2007-2008 Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching. Kuentz was selected from 49 nominations from across the district. "It took the committee members several hours to review all application packets and decide who would represent NEISD in this year's Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching," said Human Resources Coordinator Diana Bennett. "The selection was a difficult one because of the exceptional qualities of each nominee." The purpose of the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching is to recognize and honor outstanding teachers in the greater San Antonio area. In addition to Trinity University, H-E-B Grocery Co. and the San Antonio Express-News will sponsor the prize. A reception to honor the San Antonio area district nominees will be held Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2008 at 4 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Chapman Center at Trinity University. An awards ceremony honoring the 21 nominees and the two recipients of the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching will take place on Friday, May 2, 2008 following a 4 p.m. Kappa Delta Pi lecture in the Margarite B. Parker Chapel at Trinity University. A reception will follow the awards ceremony in the Bell Tower Plaza at Trinity University. |
