ETA students selected to attend Engineering Insights Camp
|
This summer, five Engineering & Technologies Academy (ETA) students will attend the Engineering Insights Camp held at Texas A & M University at College Station for four days to experience different fields of engineering. Only 50 students were selected; ETA students include Chelsea Dixon, Kymberly Juettemeyer, Isaac Paredes, Evan Weber, and Geron Fuller. "This opportunity exposes our students to a higher level order of curriculum," said ETA Director's Secretary Carol Mayfield. "Students will be introduced to new emerging technologies, which would be relevant to our classroom curriculum offered at ETA." The Engineering insights summer camp gives high school students with an interest in science, mathematics and engineering an opportunity to explore engineering as a career. Participants will stay on campus in the dorms, attend special classes and see engineering activities in progress in laboratories. |
