Comm. Ed. fall classes -- NEISD.net

Community Education registration begins

Registration is underway for North East Community Education's (NECE) fall session. Hundreds of classes, ranging from East Coast swing to gourmet on a shoestring, will be offered in September. Among the newly scheduled classes are from beaks to binoculars - a crash course in birding for beginners; one day decorating; yoga at your desk; and common cents money matters to teach your kids.

Also new this session is a series of classes called One Strokeā„¢ Painting, women's only fitness classes, and back by popular demand are Whole Foods Market cooking classes.

NECE offers classes in areas of business, arts and crafts, dance, music and drama, exercise, sports and outdoor activities, financial, health, home and garden, languages, leisure interests, personal improvement, sewing and stitchery, technology and travel. Also offered are classes for youth, as well as online classes.

Classes will be offered at dozens of convenient locations including the Community Learning Center at 8750 Tesoro Drive and Alamo Heights High School. Registration can be done online, as well as by phone, fax or mail. For more information, or to register, visit the Community Education Web Site at www.communityed.neisd.net or call 657-8866 to obtain a catalog.
