Churchill swimmer represents USA in World Youth Championship

Lily Moldenhauer, a Junior at Churchill High School, was selected to represent the USA by competing in the FINA World Youth Swimming Championships in Monterrey, Mexico. The championship began on Tuesday, July 8. Moldenhauer received this opportunity after placing 15th overall in the 200 meter Butterfly at the US Olympic Swim Team trials in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to competing in the 200 meter Butterfly event, Moldenhauer competed in the 800 meter Freestyle relay. Moldenhauer helped the team rank first in the finals, completing the event in 8:04.49. Moldenhauer placed fourth in the 200 meter Butterfly event with a time of 2:22.66. Currently, the U.S. leads the competition with 214.5 points. Canada follows the U.S. with 173.5 points. |
