The Churchill Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders won top marks at the National Cheerleading Association's Camp held at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas from June 13 - 16.

The Varsity Cheerleaders were honored with the Herkie Award, which is awarded to the one school that shows unity, leadership, overall spirit and a clean cheer technique for the camp. The Junior Varsity Cheerleaders were honored with Best in Class "Camp Chant."

Cheerleaders Ashley Cherry, Jordan Davis, McKenzie Granger, Hayley Gurwitz, Julia Haskins, Maggie Kilgore, Morgan Jones and Ilianna Garza all received the All American title. Gurwitz also received the Top All American Cheerleader title for the entire camp.
