Students at Thousand Oaks Elementary will celebrate National Library Week from April 14-18, 2008 with an Adopt-A-Book activity. Students will adopt a book that has a worn cover and also read it. Then, they will design a new book jacket to include the title, author's name and illustration of the story or content on the cover. The back cover will have the name of the student who designed the jacket. The new book jackets will be laminated and placed on the books to be checked out by other students.
