Some North East ISD schools are participating in the 2007-2008 Box Tops for Education campaign. Participating schools have set their own fundraising goal through Box Tops. For instance, at Eisenhower Middle School their fundraising goal is $1,000.
Box Tops for Education is a school fundraising program started by General Mills in 1996 for kindergarten through eighth grade. To date, Box Tops has helped America's schools raise more than $200 million to buy items needed but not always afford, such as library books, school supplies and playground equipment. The Box Tops for Education program offers school supporters easy ways to earn cash for schools through everyday activities such as buying groceries, shopping online and purchasing books. Schools are eligible to earn a total of up to $60,000 each year.
To support a school in reaching its goal, Box Tops can be collected from hundreds of products. A list of products can be viewed on the Box Tops for Education Web site at http://www.boxtops4education.com/Downloads/Global/products.pdf.
Box Tops can be sent to any participating NEISD school. Supporters can also sign up on the Box Tops Web site at http://www.boxtops4education.com/Default.aspx to designate a NEISD school.
