Substitute Teachers / Substitute Nurses:
As of April 1, 2008 we are no longer accepting / processing substitute teacher or substitute assistant applications for the 2007-2008 school year. We will begin accepting substitute applications for the 2008-2009 school year on or about June 1, 2008. Please check our web site for further updates.
Applicants for substitute teacher are required to have a Bachelors Degree or higher.
Substitute Nurses are required to have a current RN license. For more information contact the Health Service Department at (210) 804-7147.
- Complete the online Substitute Teacher application. Complete addresses for references are required to process the application. If an email address is provided references letters will be emailed.
- Mail or fax a copy of your college transcript showing a degree awarded, or your diploma, or your Teaching Certificate. This must be received before your application will be processed. Once your application is complete and processed and you are hired as a substitute you will be notified by mail with the date of the Substitute Orientation you will be required to attend. When the number of substitute applicants exceeds the District need for Substitutes, North East I.S.D. reserves the right to limit the hiring of substitutes with preference given to Certified Teachers.Substitute Classified (Teacher Assistant, Clerk, Secretary, Special Education Assistant, etc.)
1. Complete the online classified application and select the preference of Substitute Para. Complete addresses for references are required to process the application.
2. Mail or fax a copy of your High School diploma or College transcripts if you have college hours (hours not required for substitute assistant). This must be received or your application cannot be processed.
