PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the School-Age Parenting: The purpose of the pregnancy, education and parenting program is to reduce the number of students who drop out of school due to pregnancy and/or parenthood and to recover young parents, under the age of 21 years on the first day of September, to the education system.
In addition, the School-Age Parenting Program is designed to help these students achieve academically and work toward graduation; to access available community resources; career readiness and/or job training ; to become knowledgeable in child development, parenting positive skills; and to become productive citizens.
