Administration
Principal: Mrs. Lesha Dalton
Mrs. Dalton is honored to be serving
the Olmos community as the principal of Olmos Elementary School, a TEA
Recognized campus. She is thrilled to be assisting teachers,
students, and families in such a nurturing atmosphere. Mrs. Dalton has
spent most of her educational career in the North East Independent School
District. She attended Wilshire Elementary, Garner Middle School, and
MacArthur High School. She graduated from the University of the
Incarnate Word with a Bachelor's degree in English and went onto the
University of Texas at San Antonio to earn her certification for Special
Education and Elementary Education. Mrs. Dalton continued her
education at Texas State University by earning a Master's degree in
Educational Administration with a certificate for mid-management.
Mrs. Dalton spent four years in
S.A.I.S.D. at Washington Elementary School as a teacher for students with
emotional and learning difficulties. She returned to N.E.I.S.D. in 1998
as a Special Education teacher at Windcrest Elementary where she was named as
Teacher of the Year for 1999-2000. Mrs. Dalton has taught in a
variety of educational settings in Kindergarten through fifth grade.
After completing her administrative internship for the district, Mrs. Dalton had
the opportunity to serve as assistant principal at Olmos for six fabulous
years. Needless to say, Mrs. Dalton is delighted to still be a part
of the Olmos family where improved student achievement is the focus.
When she is not at school, Mrs. Dalton enjoys
spending time with her sixth grade son, Chandler and her stepdaughters,
Kayci and Delaney, along with her new husband, Wesley. Mrs. Dalton
loves baking, reading, yard work, boating, decorating, and being
outdoors.
Assistant Principal: Ms. Michaele Pansza Ms. Pansza is the new assistant principal at Olmos Elementary. She graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. After obtaining Her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University, she made a career move and pursued her passion for children in the area of education. Ms. Pansza obtained her certification in the area of Special Education from Region 20. She continued her education by obtaining a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with a certificate as a Principal. Most recently, Ms. Pansza is in the Administrative Internship program at NEISD. Ms. Pansza has taught in a variety of educational settings in Pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade. She spent four years in the Northside Independent School District before joining Northeast Independent School District as a special education teacher at Jackson Keller. Ms Pansza is excited to be at Olmos. She is looking forward to meeting the students, parents and community during this school year. The Olmos Owls are a dynamic, loving and learner centered community and she is glad to be a part of them. |
