Library
Procedures
How
many books can I
check out at one time?

Kinder: 1 book for 1 week
1st & 2nd : 2 books for 1 week
3rd, 4th, & 5th: 3 books for 2 weeks |
When
can I come
to the library?

You may come at anytime during the
school
day as long as you have a library pass!
Some classes also come for a
weekly check out! |
What
happens if I lose or damage a book?

We will issue you a bill for the price of
the book.
You will need to pay for (or return) the
book before you can check out any new books. |
How
can I help keep our library
books looking great?

I. Always wash and dry hands before handling library books.
II. Never eat or drink near library books.
III. Keep pencils, pens, markers, and other school supplies off of the library books at all times.
If you are taking notes from a book, place your paper on the table or desk, not on the book
itself.
IV. Use bookmarks to mark your place; don’t dog-ear the pages.
V. Turn pages carefully, using the corners.
VI. Be careful to keep your library books dry and safe. Carry books securely to keep them
from falling on the ground. When it’s raining, make sure to carry your library books in your
backpack where they’ll stay dry.
VII. Keep all library materials away from children too young to understand how to properly care
for books.
VIII. If you notice damage to library materials, please tell the library staff immediately.
