Self-Manager Plan
Our Oak Grove Self-Manager plan consists of five Panther Principles that all students are expected to follow. The five principles are as follows:
Responsibility: I will come to school on time with all materials. I will show consistent effort with a positive attitude.
Honesty: I will be honest with myself and others. I will accept responsibility for my actions.
Respect: I will be respectful with adults and students. I will respect the rights, feelings and property of others.
Self-Discipline: I will keep my hands to myself, talk quietly, and use appropriate language.
Compassion: I will consider other people's feelings and try to do something nice for someone today.
Students earn a Self-Manager Badge for following all five principles for five days in a row. Students are welcomed into the Panther Pride Club once they have shown their Panther Principles for nine weeks.
The Oak Grove Panther Pride Club is a club made up of Oak Grove students who consistently demonstrate the Panther Principles of Responsibility, Respect, Honesty, Self-Discipline and Compassion. Students qualify for the Pride Club by always showing that they understand and live by these five Panther Principles throughout the school day. Classroom teachers can nominate any Oak Grove student to be in the Panther Pride Club as long as the student has shown outstanding behavior throughout the previous nine week period.
Kindergarten students who follow all of the Panther Principles will be invited to join the Cub Club. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students will be invited into the Paw Club. 4th and 5th grade students will be invited into the Pride Club. Classroom teachers will begin nominations for the Pride Club during the seventh week of school.
