Students in the Nimitz Band are required to furnish their own instruments unless they are assigned to play the following instruments: tuba, horn, oboe, bassoon, or baritone.  Students playing these instruments will be required to supply their own mouthpieces and accessories.  There are several reputable music stores in the area that offer rental-purchase plans to fit any budget.

Music Book

All beginning band students are required to purchase a music book.  The book that we are

using is Standard of Excellence Bk. 1 by Bruce Pearson.  The book can be purchased

from RBC Music located at Callaghan and 410 East (736-6902) at a price of around

$7.50 ($15 for percussion).
