Band Calendar

 

August 21st - September 8th 

·     Pass out band instruments, insurance forms, and instrument maintenance forms. (Parents, please return insurance forms to insurance company, and return instruments maintenance forms to band director as soon as possible if your son/daughter is using a school instrument).

·        Pass out band handbooks (parents, please sign and return).

·        Assign band lockers (Students are responsible for purchasing their own lock).

·        Pass out band sectional schedules

·        Pass out student information sheets

·        Pass out handout for supplies needed

·        Pass out rehearsal procedures handout

·        Pass out volunteer forms to students

·        Pass out region scales and etudes

 

August 30th – 31st (Wednesday – Thursday)

Band Drive

 

September 8th (Friday)

·         Last day for beginners, concert, and symphonic bands to have cleaning supplies, books, pencils, reeds, mouthpieces, needed for band class. (Please let us know if there is any difficulty in obtaining these supplies by this date).

 

September 5th-8th (Tuesday-Friday)

·         Cleaning supplies will be checked out

 

September 8th (Friday)

·         8th grade meeting and Ice Cream Social after School from 3:45 to 4:30

·         Lee Football Game Performance

 

September 25th (Monday)

·         Sectionals begin today before and after school. (Please refer to your sectional schedule).

·         Pass out grade check sheets to concert band

·         Instrument Rental Fees

 

October 16th (Monday)

·         Pass out Solo and Ensemble music to Concert and symphonic bands

·         Fall band concert (6:30 p.m.)
