conservatory programs, and trained for careers as
professional musicians. They experience a diverse range of
musical genres and styles, from chamber music to jazz.
Students perform as soloists, as members of the orchestra,
and in challenging ensemble formats. |

Comprehensive musicianship
courses including ear-training, sight-singing, music history,
theory, counterpoint, and composition.
Course work for Instrumental Music will include:
- Training for a career as a professional musician
- Advanced and diverse music performed in a challenging
ensemble
- Opportunities to study and perform chamber music and
to perform as soloists with the orchestra
- Comprehensive musicianship courses including ear-training,
music history, theory, counterpoint, and composition
- Sharing students' musical talents with the San Antonio
community
