CINEMA
NORTH EAST

NESA's Cinema program offers a comprehensive hands-on experience for students on the art and science of this collaborative art. Students learn about the history and function of cinema and animation, film production techniques, film scripting and composition. Our filmmakers produce works for presentation in national-level competitions.  Advanced students research, write, direct and edit documentaries, fiction films, and animation pieces.

Cinema Curriculum

The AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL chose films by four NESA Cinema students to be screened this year! Congratulations to JOSE COUVILLON (Jr) for "Tie Your Shoes", TYLER NGYUEN (Jr) for "Mimic", RYKER MCINNIS (Jr) for "Love Soup", and CHRISTIAN PEREZ (graduated last May) for "Hamartia".  

On 9/30/2013, SA Living (NBC) showed a film by ISABELLA CABELLO (Jr) called "120 Lbs." Congrats to Ryker McInnis, who placed 2nd in this year's Gong Short Film Festival.
