Sunday evening, May 18th, the Las Casas Foundation held its sixth annual Finalist Performance for its "High School Scholarship for Excellence
in the Performing Arts" program. The performance was held at the Charlene McCombs Empire Theater. Six of the finalists were NESA Musical Theater and Dance majors.
Additionally, this year marks the first time the Las Casas Foundation hosted a regional competition for the National High School Musical Theater Awards - also known as the Jimmy Awards. The National High School Musical Theater Awards, founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. Students considered for the award must have played the lead role in a high school musical production during the 2013-2014 school year.

3rd Place: Madelene Hall ($3,000)
4th Place: Anna Connelly ($2,000)
