Welcome to North East ISD!
North East ISD is the second largest school district in the San Antonio area. It spans approximately 144 square miles in the north central and northeast sectors of Bexar County. The majority of the district lies within the boundaries of the city of San Antonio, but several smaller communities are also encompassed within North East ISD, including the cities of Castle Hills, Hill Country Village, Hollywood Park and Windcrest. The district is expecting more than 63,000 students for the 2007-2008 school year.
All campuses in North East ISD are fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). North East has nine Exemplary schools--the most in Bexar county for the third year in a row. In fact, North East had more Exemplary schools than all Bexar County schools combined and the only middle school (grades 6-8) with an Exemplary rating. In addition, North East boasts a National Exemplary After-School Program at every elementary school and most middle schools through its Community Education Department.
