World History
This survey course traces the history of the world
from Prehistoric times to the present with emphasis on Western Civilization
and the rising Asian and African Nations. The content of this course
includes the development of early civilizations and other world regions
from their early days to the present. The course provides students
with opportunities to compare and analyze various ways of life and cultural
patterns that reflect the diversity and commonality of human experiences,
and the understanding of how these patterns occur. Geographic influences
on world history are part of the study.
