  Laya: "To dissolve the boundaries between our ordinary selves and that which we may become"

       Laya is James Madison High School's Literary and Art Magazine, and is a creative forum for young artists and authors. It is a cooperative effort of many students who want to produce original student work in print. Members of the Laya staff have dedicated their time and energy to publish a magazine for circulation to approximately one thousand students and parents every spring. Laya's high quality has earned it's awards as an outstanding Literary and Art Magazine for many consecutive years.

      Although we are a non-profit organization, we still need your assistance. We are giving local businesses the opportunity to support our young writers and artists. The money that is donated to us or that we raise is used to print short stories, poetry, and artwork to fill our magazine. It also allows the magazine a full number of pages, color layouts and other features whose costs are prohibitive for your high school publication. you will be giving Madison students the chance to produce another world-class magazine that will showcase Madison's finest writers and artists and those who support Laya.

      When you donate money from your business or as a personal contribution, you will gain many rewards, both tangible and intangible. These rewards include the satisfaction that you have not only promoted the arts, but have also encouraged young adults to use their talents in a positive vein. Your name or company's name will also appear in the magazine on a page dedicated solely to thanking our contributors. Finally, your donation is tax deductible.
