8004 CHILD DEVELOPMENT

This laboratory course provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills involved in the development and care of young children from infancy through adolsecence.
8006 INTERIOR DESIGN
         Grades 10-12
This course covers the concepts and skills basic to a career in residential or commerical design ad well as skills to enthance design in personal living.
8010 PERSONAL AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT  Grades 9-10 The content in this laboratory course is all inclusive of the composition of the home economics discipline.
8011 PERSONAL AND FAMILY                DEVELOPMENT  (FOODS)
Grades 9-10
This laboratory course explores many areas of Home Economics including the decision making process of personal management of various resources, consumer education to enhance spending and saving skills, etiquette aspects fo family health and well-being, food selection, nutrition and preparation.
8012 PERSONAL AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT I (CLOTHING)  Grades 9-10 Through this comprehensive course students will have the opportunity to engage in a variety topics.
8013 HOME ECONOMICS CAREER STUDIES
         Grades 10-12 
This comprehensive course provides opportunities to explore factors influencing career choices and demonstrate employability skills that lead to career success.
8017 TEXTILE AND APPAREL DESIGN
         Grades 10-12
This technical laboratory course is designed to address the textiles and apparel design practices and influences and career preparation.
8022 NUTRITION AND FOOD SERVICE
         Grades 10-12
This content in this laboratory course includes a strong component in nutrition as it relates to dietary functions through the family life cycle, special dietary needs, and nutrient sources.
8023 APPAREL     Grades 10-12 This laboratory course covers concepts and skills related to apparel decisions and management.
8040 INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY LIFE
          Grades  11-12
This course is designed to address the individual in the family and in society.
8053, 8054  ELEMENTARY TEACHER ASSISTANT     Grades  11-12 This course will allow teaher asssistants the opportuntiy to experience the responsibilities of the teaching profession aiding teachers in elementary school with daily lessions, presentation and supervision of students.
8379, 8380  CHILDCARE AND GUIDANCE MANAGEMENT AND SERVICES COOP I & II
       Grades 11-12
This course provides classroom training and on-the-job experience in the field of child care and related areas.
8381, 8382   HOME ECONOMICS CAREER PREPARATION I & II     Grades 11-12 HECP is a program which provides classroom training and on-the-job work experience in occupations related to home economics.
