| SkillsUSA serves trade, industrial, technical and
health occupations students. SkillsUSA is designed for the students and
run by the students. Because the students are SkillsUSA members, they have
the opportunity to make the most of their lives, starting now. In their
SkillsUSA chapter, they are working with other students who share the same
interests.
SkillsUSA chapters choose, plan and conduct their own activities. As a member, you will develop into a well-rounded person with social and leadership skills as well as occupational skills. SkillsUSA instills spirit and a desire to learn, to grow and, to become a productive citizen. SkillsUSA prepares America's high performance workers. It provides quality educational experiences for students in technical and health occupations programs in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills. It emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work.
