MacArthur High School Policy on Telecommunications Devices | ![]() |
| Parents and students are reminded that MacArthur High School's
telecommunications policy forbidding the use of cell phones and other
telecommunications devices during the school day will be strictly
enforced every day, and especially on state testing days.
The policy requires that cell phones, pagers, and similar devices be
during the school day (9:00 am to 4:00 pm including during lunch and the passing periods). Parents are asked to contact the school if they need to communicate with their child during the school day. Violation of this policy will result in the device being confiscated. Students are still permitted to possess these devices while at school, but are cautioned about the added importance of not using them during the school day, especially testing days, to prevent any appearance of impropriety. On state testing days, any unauthorized use of these devices could cause the invalidation of a student's test scores. Parents and students are encouraged to discuss the telecommunications policy so that everyone is aware that the school will firmly enforce this policy every day. |
