Keeping records plays an important role in both our personal lives and in our business careers.

Recordkeeping is a semester course that helps to develop work habits that are vital to maintaining a successful lifelong career.  Work habits such as:

*  Accuracy in calculations
*  Neatness in work appearance
*  Verifying data for accuracy
*  Promptness in completing a job
*  Completing work on time

Students will learn to:

(Personal)
*  Keep a personal and family budget
*  Apply for bank charge cards
*  Buy on an Installment Plan
*  Obtain a loan
*  Open and maintain a checking account

(Business)
*  Complete Sales Slips
*  Compute Sales Tax on Goods and Services
*  Handle Petty Cash
*  Maintain records for charge customers
*  Prepare customer statements
