Business Management

For long-standing success in the business world as either an employee or an owner, it is essential for one to have a deep interest in business affairs and a basic knowledge of business operations.  The broad purpose of Business Principles & Management is to present the student with a solid foundation about what business is, how it operates, and how it is managed.

The materials presented are designed to facilitate the accomplishment of the following basic goals:

  • Aid students in acquiring a vocabulary of business terms.
  • Provide students  with an understanding of the many activities,     problems, and decisions involved in successfully operating a business.
  • Give students an appreciation of the importance of business in our economy.
  • Assist students in deciding on specific career objectives from among the great number of employment opportunities in the business world.
  • Provide students with facts, procedures, and concepts that will aid them in becoming effective members of the business community.

A basic understanding of business principles and management is needed by everyone who plans a career in business.
