KEYBOARDING is a semester course and it is a prerequisite course for BCIS I. |
|
"TOUCH
METHOD KEYBOARDING" is one of the most important and practical courses
you will take at MacArthur High School.
Repetitive motion injuries have been increasing since the introduction of the personal computer in 1980. Improper technique of the wrists, fingers, and back will increase the odds of developing repetitive strain injury. An example of such an injury is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. In our classes, students will develop knowledge and skills in applying the proper keyboarding techniques when inputting data on the computer keyboard. The students will be expected to format and print various business documents, such as: personal business letters, reports, outlines, and compositions. The students will also learn to apply correct techniques for the touch-system of operating the keyboard to develop speed and accuracy. Proofreading and error correction will also be emphasized. |
