Room A-210     Phone Number: 650-1100, Ext.379 M.A.C. is a Co-Funded learning center that will be open to all Special Education students as well as any Regular Education        Math students. The M.A.C. staff is available to help students 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

What is a co-funded content mastery center? A center providing services to students other than special education students One or more staff members are paid from sources other than special education funds Materials, resources, and supplies will be funded through both sources M.A.C. Staff Responsibilities: Provide strategies for teachers to modify Identify and discuss student’s strengths Monitor student placement and progress Work collaboratively with general education teachers Pre-teach and/or re-teach Assist students with organizational and study skills Conference with students General Education Staff Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction Maximize student efforts and time spent in the classroom using modifications Determine the appropriate time and reasons for sending students to MAC Collaborate with the M.A.C. staff Decide which modifications are appropriate Grade students’ performance after modifications have been provided Send students with a pass, instructions, and materials Provide copies of lesson plans, worksheets, tests, project information and answer keys prior to their introduction and use in the classroom.
