Ranch Hand Reminders
from our principal, Glenn Forde

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It’s been another fun filled week at Longs Creek! This past Wednesday was our annual 5th Grade Market Day. It was a pleasure to see the hard work our 5th grade students put into making, advertising, and selling their homemade goods. Students also ended the week with a big splash at Field Day! Thank you to all of our volunteers and staff who made this such an exciting time for our cowboys!

As the end of the school year approaches, many of you have started considering your child’s placement for next year. There are many things taken into consideration when determining the make-up of a class and teacher assignment. While we are not honoring request for specific teachers, if you would like us to consider specific characteristics of a teacher when determining your child’s placement, please submit this information to our lead counselor, Mrs. Van Winkle (, by Friday, May 26.

Reminders for next week include:

  • Monday, May 22 – PTA Book Fair begins (library); All library books are due
  • Tuesday, May 23 – 2nd grade math benchmark
  • Wednesday, May 24 – Never Been Absent event (during specials)
  • Friday, May 26 – 5th grade Pool Party; PTA Book Fair ends

As always, thank you for your continued support.
