Thank YOU, parents, for choosing Longs Creek!
Ranch Hand Reminders
from our principal, Glenn Forde
Many of you have expressed concern regarding the time our NEISD officer leaves his vehicle in the mornings to direct traffic. I have shared your concerns with Chief Wally McCampbell of NEPD, but I also encourage you to contact Chief McCampbell at 210-407-0911.
I’d like to thank our LCPTA for another wonderful job of decorating the classroom doors for Red Ribbon Week! Our homeroom moms and other volunteers have really outdone themselves this year! We invite you to show your support by helping your child participate in each of the daily themes (see attachment).
Reminders for this week include:
- Friday, October 28 – PTA sponsored HOEDOWN from 5:30-8:00
As a reminder, in an effort to maximize our instructional day we start morning announcements at 8:00. In order for students to fully participate without any disruption, they have to be in the classroom prior to 8:00. Students are dismissed to their classrooms at 7:50. If you would like to escort your child to the classroom, we ask that you do so between 7:50 and 8:00. The cafeteria entrance to the building is also locked at 8:00. If you arrive at this time or later, you will need drop your child off at the main entrance at the front of the school.
Lastly, I do want to encourage all to join us at the Hoedown next Friday. This will be our main fall fundraiser and some of the proceeds will be used to fund grade level field trips. For more information regarding upcoming events, please visit our website at www.neisd.net/longs
Thank you for your continued support!
