The Weblesson section provides opportunities to explore web activities that include webquests, scrapbooks, hotlists, treasure hunts, and subject samplers. These activities are outlined for both student and teacher use. Within these various sections are also links to example activities and student/teacher created lessons. Feel free to follow the links, but remember to return to our site by using the back button.

  • Webquests WebQuests are lesson plans developed by teachers. The plans incorporate the use of the World Wide Web. Bernie Dodge and Tom March at San Diego State University designed a type of lesson plan that uses links to and from the World Wide Web. The web resources allow students to engage in creative solutions to real life problems.

  • Subject Samplers A subject sampler is a web activity used to interest and hook students into the subject matter you wish to present.

  • Treasure Hunts A treasure hunt is used to develop knowledge about a subject. It helps the students to acquire new knowledge about a particular subject.

  • Scrapbooks Students use the scrapbook to explore topics and content related to topics. They then use the information by downloading and copying and pasting the scraps into a format of their choice. This information can later be used in reports and projects.

  • Hotlists A hotlist is a collection of sites that you find interesting or useful to your curriculum or curriculum topics.
