Dear Robert E. Lee Parents / Guardians,
The Lee High School Campus will begin the first round of End-of Course state accountability testing this upcoming week. The ELA 1 test will be administered on Monday, March 31st; this test is for students enrolled in English 1 or needing to re-test. The ELA 2 test will be administered on Tuesday, April 1st; this test is for students enrolled in English 2 or needing to re-test. The ELA tests are reading and writing combined and are administered over a 5 hour period. Please encourage your student to rest and eat breakfast; student attendance and punctuality is crucial as we will begin testing at 9:00 a.m. Thank you for your support.
The North East PTA will be hosting their Annual Used Book Sale at Blossom Athletic Center on April 4th-6th. We would like to encourage you to support our PTA by attending the Book Sale. Please see attachment.
As a reminder, there are numerous events and activities taking place at Lee High School. We appreciate your continued support!
Great job to our athletic department: golf, baseball, softball, tennis and track are ALL representing Lee High School very well. Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to our students and programs.
Good Luck to the following clubs or organizations as they compete at the next level of competition:
State Championship Bowing March 29th -30th at Bandera Bowling Center
State VASE as they compete in College Station
Theatre UIL One Act Play at 4:30 at Johnson High School
Lee Choir's Pre-UIL Concert is next Thursday, April 3rd at 7pm in the auditorium.
The annual Robert E. Lee Band Parent Association Enchilada Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 in the Lee High School Cafeteria from 5:30-8:00pm. Plates can be purchased at the door. Profits made will go directly to the band program and will help the Lee Band continue its “tradition of excellence."
Prom is quickly approaching and open to all currently enrolled students on the Lee and ISA campus. If any students are planning to bring an outside guest/escort, students should have requested and received prior approval from the main office. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Cost of admission is $25 pre-sale and $30 at the door. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Corby Brown in the main office.
Parents of seniors, please remind your son/daughter that school is not over. It is imperative that students remain focused and on track to pass all their classes. Please remember that lack of attendance increases the risk of not receiving course credits. There are also a large number of seniors who have financial obligations that require payment before they can walk the stage. Please contact Assistant Principals Corby Brown at 356-0882 or Dr. Caprica Wells at 356-0826, if you have any questions or concerns.
Parents, please monitor your children’s activity on their social media accounts.
