One of your student’s major responsibilities as he/she begins to end their school year is to turn-in textbooks. Our scheduled textbook turn-in begins Monday, May 20th, 2013 and goes through Friday, May 24th. We will begin informing students about the turn-in process next week through their teachers. The cost of one textbook today may cost as much as 60 dollars. Please help your student prepare to turn-in textbooks. You may also decide to conduct your own textbook check by having your student present their textbook(s) to you. If you have questions or need more information do not hesitate to contact our Campus Textbook Coordinator, Mr. Poole or his Assistant, Mrs. Nancy Ybarra at 210 356-0827.

The Allied Campus Theatre performances of “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon, and “Hollywood Arms” by Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett, are both directed by theatre students. Performances are scheduled for Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 in the Lee Black Box, room 502! Both nights the first show will start at 6:30 pm and the second show will start at 7:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door. LOTS of LEE/ISA students are involved in these fabulous shows and have been working very hard! Please come support your Lee Theatre department.

Attendance Alert------- Only Two Saturdays left. Please encourage your son or daughter to see their administrator if they have more than 8 absences in any of their classes.

District reminder: Graduating Seniors

It was at this time last year that this office shared information with you early so that you had advance notice to forward it to family and friends.

I am sending this to all our parents because I know that you may have friends and neighbors who may be graduating as well.

Our high school graduation ceremony will again be streamed live on the internet so that loved ones who cannot make it to the Freeman Coliseum will be able to watch from any place in the world that has an internet connection.

Simply visit and click on GRADUATION 2013 under District News for more information. This link may move, however, that link will remain somewhere on the homepage through the end of June.

Please remind your son or daughter that school is not over. Regular and prompt attendance are crucial; students still need to pass their classes. We also have a large number of seniors who have financial obligations. These need to be paid before they can receive their cap and gown. Students with outstanding obligations will not be allowed to walk the stage. Please contact Assistant Principal Corby Brown at 356-0882, if you have any questions or concerns.

From the Counseling Department:

Attention parents of graduating seniors:

Tidbits of important end-of-the-year information.

1) In order for your child to be recognized for any scholarships they have been awarded, he/she must turn in documentation to Ms. Martinez or Ms. Nobles in the Career Center. The deadline to submit this information so it may be included in the graduation program was April 29th. However, we encourage students to continue to bring in documentation letters up until June 7th.

2) Your child must declare the college he/she will be attending by June 4th if he/she wants the college or military choice to be announced at graduation.

3) Your child must turn in to the Career Center his/her "final transcript request" by June 4th.

4) If your child will not be participating in the graduation ceremony please notify his/her counselor by June 4th.

Thank you from the Counseling Office
