CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT YEAR!!!!!! GENERAL INFORMATION SCHOLARSHIPS – Documentation for scholarships should be given to Mrs. Joani Fox. Students will choose one scholarship to be announced at the graduation ceremony along with the school they will be attending. Deadline to have this information to Mrs. Joani Fox is May 1st. CREDIT BY EXAMS - will be given for seniors June 3rd - June 7th. See your Counselor to register. GRADES - All correspondence course work, credit by exams or college grades must be on file with your counselors by May 15th. TRANSCRIPTS - You must formally request a final transcript that reflects all your grades as of the end of the school year. Your first and final college transcript request is free. All other requests are $5.00. Transcripts used for scholarship applications are free. You will always contact Lee High School for your transcript. EXCESSIVE ABSENCES - Seniors who have excessive absences MUST see their administrator to sign up for Saturday School as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT!!!! The last District Saturday school is TBA. PREPARATION FOR GRADUATION CAPS AND GOWNS - Delivery will be at the Senior Breakfast, BAC, on June 5th. You must rent your cap and gown to participate in the graduation exercises. If you have not pre-ordered your cap and gown, the rental fee of $25.00 will be due when you pick up your cap and gown on TBA. Jostens will bring extra caps and gowns on TBA. CASH or MONEY ORDERS ONLY. All obligations must be cleared prior to picking up your cap and gown. Jostens - If you fail to pick up your graduation orders, you will need to go to Jostens headquarters. PREPARE THE GOWN FOR THE GRADUATION CEREMONY! Make sure your cap and gown fit properly before you leave BAC June 5th. Robe length will vary. The robes should be below the mid calf or longer, depending on your height. The top of the cap should be parallel to the ground with the point of the cap being in the center of your forehead, approximately one inch from your eyebrows. NO ALTERATIONS TO THE GRADUATION CAP WILL BE ALLOWED. GRADUATION REHEARSAL – Thursday, June 11th, 9:00 a.m. at Freeman Coliseum. • YOU MUST ATTEND REHEARSAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION EXERCISE. THE CEREMONY LINE UP AREA • Do not bring purses, flowers, cameras or anything that would have to be carried. Graduates WILL NOT carry anything into the coliseum. NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE LINE-UP AREA BEFORE OR AFTER GRADUATION!!!!!!!! THIS INCLUDES ALL FAMILY MEMBERS. • GRADUATION - Graduation will be Monday, June 11th, 2012 at 7:30 pm. Seniors must be in their designated "line-up" position NO LATER THAN 6:30 pm. • DRESS FOR GRADUATION BOYS - Dark dress slacks and dark socks are recommended. Dress shoes/boots, a shirt with a collar and a tie are required. A white shirt and dark tie look the best. The collar of the shirt will show above the neck of the robe. Do not wear jackets or suit coats. The following will not be allowed: Jeans, tennis shoes, sandals and shorts. Socks and dress shoes/boots are MANDATORY. • MEDALLIONS AWARDED AT SENIOR AWARDS SHOULD BE WORN. • MAKE YOUR GRADUATION A MEMORABLE OCCASION. UNIFORMITY IN DRESS HELPS MAKE A DIGNIFIED CEREMONY OF WHICH YOU WILL BE PROUD. • ALL DISTRICT POLICIES WILL BE ENFORCED AT ALL SENIOR ACTIVITIES, REHEARSAL AND THROUGHOUT THE GRADUATION CEREMONY. Any student in violation of policies or any student who disrupts the ceremony will be removed from the coliseum. Their diploma will not be released until a disciplinary hearing has been held. STUDENTS WHO CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY MUST NOTIFY THEIR COUNSELOR BY TBA. THEY MUST PICK UP THEIR DIPLOMAS IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE THE WEEK OF JUNE 12TH THROUGH JUNE 14TH, 9:00 – 11:00 AM OR 1:00 – 3:00 PM. LEE HIGH SCHOOL DOES NOT MAIL DIPLOMAS. GENERAL INFORMATION Handicap seating will be available in box sections stage left. A district made video of the graduation ceremony will be available for purchase. More information to follow via US Mail from the district. Cameras and videos must be hand held and parents may use the designated area to take pictures. PARKING: Seniors: You can enter the parking lot by the West gate off of East Houston Street. Seniors must have their gown with them to show the constable as they enter the gate. Senior parking passes are good only at the Senior Gate and are non-transferable. YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR PARKING PASS AT REHEARSAL. Your parents may accompany you in the car displaying the parking pass. General Public: There is a $5.00 fee per car for the general public at the Coliseum. We encourage you to come early as there is always a big crowd. The coliseum doors open at 5:30 p.m. Posters, banners and noisemakers are not allowed. Parents, family or friends will be removed from the ceremony for any inappropriate or disruptive behavior. Our responsibility is to create a ceremony to honor all students for their accomplishments throughout their years of school. Please be dignified and respectful of all (from A to Z).
