Who are we?
We are the cadets and instructors of the Robert E. Lee JROTC, a US Army Cadet Command recognized Honor Unit with Distinction and the oldest of the seven NEISD JROTCs. As a corps, our mission aligns with that of the US Army JROTC program - to motivate young people to become better citizens - and we are proud to carry out that mission by- Sharpening cadet communication skills,
- Participating in community service projects,
- Developing cadet leadership potential,
- Strengthening self-esteem,
- Improving cadet physical fitness,
- Encouraging the ideal of a drug-free life, and
- Helping students graduate high school with a solid foundation for career development.
It is our belief, shared by NEISD JROTC headquarters and the US Army Cadet Command, that JROTC cadets graduate high school exceptionally well-prepared to succeed in a world which increasingly values teamwork, leadership, and proactivity from its citizens, whether they are college graduates, service members, parts of the workforce, or all of the above.
