                        6627  (SEMESTER)

DESCRIPTION: This is a building class!  Students will plan, design, draw and build structures.  After study of floor plans, roof styles, and site locating, students will design a residential floor plan and build a model of that home.  Larger models will follow this phase.  Other areas of study include bridge-building, truss designing, and tower competition.  Use of CAD will be required in designing structures.  Course includes instruction in the safe use of tools and machines. Students will work with wood, metal, plastics, and other common building materials.
