A course designed to familiarize students with introductory skills and a basic understanding of career opportunities and training requirements in six fundamental career clusters related to Electrical/Electronic careers: Communications Electronics, Industrial Electronics, and Computer Electronics, Motor Repair, Appliance Repair, and Business Machines. Students will acquire skills which are immediately useful. Entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership are included.

Credit: 2.0  Grade Placement: 11-12  Prerequisites: Teacher Approval Course Description: 

A pre-employment laboratory course with job-specific training for entry level employment in the electronic career fields. Includes building direct current and alternating circuits using bread board or printed circuits. Includes knowledge of Ohms Law, Amplifiers,  Audio and Video, and Basic Logic Circuits. Includes entrepreneurship, safety, leadership, and career opportunities. The second year is an intermediate laboratory course with job-specific training for entry-level employment in the electronic career fields. Student may advance to post-secondary from this course.
