What is Blender?

Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License.Our students learn many of the technical details that go into creating animated movies and popular video games through the use of this professional level software. It is a very unique opportunity for middle school students to step into and experience the development process offered through the use of Blender.

About this Game, How did we build it?

Building a Game in Blender

This unit is designed for students in our seventh grade technology class. At KSAT we have strong alignment from the 6th to 7th grade in our technology classes. The students are ready to delve into more sophisticated aspects of many pieces of software like Blender because the instructional units we have developed at the sixth grade level introduce our students to basic interface and structure.
