Admissions Information

The magnet schools formally begin recruiting students in January for the following school year, visiting every NEISD elementary campus. At those recruiting events, we provide each student with an admissions packet, which includes the application. We have also provided you with the application form on-line as a .pdf file. When an application is received, it is evaluated and a score is determined using standardized test scores and conduct reports. If the score meets the minimum acceptable score, the student will be offered admission to the KSAT program before the application deadline, which is March 31. iMAK uses a lottery admissions process.

Admission notifications for KSAT will start to be mailed on April 2.  Students who are accepted will receive a Choice Sheet that needs to be completed and returned to their counselor as soon as possible.

The iMAK lottery will be conducted on April 1, and admission notifications will start to be sent out later in the week.  Students who are accepted will receive a Choice Sheet that needs to be returned to their counselor as soon as possible.

If you would like to know when we will be at your elementary school, please click on the "Recruiting" for the schedule. Parents are encouraged to attend these events, ask questions, and visit with the teachers.

We additionally conduct a Spring Recruiting Family Night. Many potential magnet school families attend that special occasion, as it provides a good opportunity for putting names and faces together, touring the facilities, launching rockets, viewing software, shaking hands, and asking questions as well as meeting other families from your part of town.

On the above navigation bar you will also find a "map" link that provides you with directions to Krueger Middle School.
