Ms. Hickey comes to Krueger Middle School with over thirty years of experience as a teacher and an administrator. After graduating from Trinity University with a degree in Biology, Ms. Hickey began teaching for Edgewood Independent School District. She later taught at Krueger Middle School, Roosevelt High School, Madison High School, and Wood Middle School. She spent twenty-three years at Wood Middle School where she was a teacher, an assistant principal, and a principal. She believes in education for all children and that every child has a chance to succeed.

Although many years have passed,
Ms. Hickey is to delighted to be returning to Krueger Middle School.

Xavier Chavez, Assistant Principal

Mr. Xavier Chavez joins the NEISD family as an assistant principal after spending 17 successful years as a band director for the Ysleta Independent School District in El Paso, Texas.  As a member of the Krueger Middle School leadership team, he strives to facilitate an optimal learning environment for all members of the Falcon learning community.

Mr. Chavez received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso and his Master of Arts in Educational Administration from New Mexico State University. He is married to Karmen, his wife of 14 years, and has twin 6th grade daughters, Katarina and Briana.

Don Everidge, Assistant Principal

Don Everidge is the an Assitant Principal at Krueger Middle School. Don spends his day aligning instruction to the state standards and making connections for teachers who need help. He is at times a mentor, supervisor, meeting facilitator, program creator and sounding board. Mr. Everidge spent the last nine years as an English Teacher, Team Leader, and Odyssey of the Mind Coach at Krueger Middle School. He has been happily married to Linda for twenty-four years, and has three wonderful children ages 21, 19, and 16.

Scott Rogers, Director of Magnet Schools

Scott Rogers has been in the field of education since 1993 and has served as a high school and middle school teacher, coach, and corporate education director.  He was appointed the director of the magnet schools in 2005.  Mr. Rogers is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Zeena Rossi, Assistant Principal

Ms. Rossi has been a Falcon since 1996, first as a 6th grade Science teacher and coach, and then as an Assistant Principal. This is her third year as an administrator.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Master's degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She enjoys running, working out, and playing softball.
