Description: This course follows the College Board Advanced Placement guidelines in preparation for the AP exam through which students may receive college credit. In the Physics C course, emphasis is placed on the in-depth study of the concepts of mechanics (approximately one semester) and electricity and magnetism (approximately one semester). Additional topics such as wave motion, kinetic theory and thermodynamics may be included. Although fewer topics are covered in Physics C than in Physics B, they are covered in greater depth and with greater analytical and mathematical sophistication including calculus applications.
