Description: This course follows the College Board Advanced Placement guidelines in preparation for the AP exam through which students may receive college credit. This course extends and deepens the topics covered in Environmental Systems and includes a strong emphasis on methodologies required to understand the relationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems, to evaluate risks associated with these problems and to examine solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. Independent research and the use of computer technology will allow students to gain a greater understanding of environmental science concepts.
