Description: This course follows the College Board Advanced Placement guidelines in preparation for the AP exam through which students may receive college credit. Concepts presented at the college level include: biochemistry, cytology, bioenergetics, genetics, evolution, ecology and animal and plant systems. Student investigations emphasize accurate observations, collection of data, data analysis and the safe manipulation of advanced scientific apparatus and materials during field and laboratory investigations.
