This scholarship is awarded to students who embody the spirit, character, and potential that most resembles Navarro. Students must have good academic standing, leadership qualities, and will demonstrate an awareness of needs and issues within their community.

U.S. students enrolled at a college or university* (as well as recent college grads who finished with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in 2011, 2012 or 2013) could be eligible to compete for this $2,500 scholarship. NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards are open to any graduating high school senior entering their freshman year at an accredited (not for profit) two- or four-year university, college or vocational/technical institute. Applicants MUST be running their own small business in order to be considered for an award.

Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. Apply and be accepted for the 2013-2014 academic year at one of the WACE Partner Institutions listed.

Graduating senior from a high school within the greater San Antonio area, Class of 2013. The selections are made by committee review evaluating individual scholarship, leadership, community service, hardship, work experience and personal accomplishments.

1. Be a graduating senior from a Bexar County school
2. Be of good moral character
3. Provide evidence of scholastic achievement
4. Attend college following graduation
5. Be a Bexar County resident for one year and a U.S. Citizen
6. Be able to provide a letter of acceptance or financial statement for the first year in college
7. Documentation must include verification of having passed a state mandated test or equivalent school requirements indicating the student will graduate this academic year
